I bought this for my trip to the Mentawais in October and it was great. Very comfortable and I used it more for sun protection. Unfortuantley one of the side pads came out and now I am left with a very sticky glue the sticks to my hair.

Very nice but
Very nice but it does not protect the back of your head. I ended up getting a new one, but in general this is a nice and comfortable helmet hat. I would use it if they had protection lower-head.

Good for sun not for safety
This really is not a true helmet. If you are worried about board impact safety it might not be for you. I would never wear this in high wind or coastal surf were I am concerned about my board coming back at me. Well designed for sun protection.

Some peace of mind!!
Awesome. Light weight. Offers some piece of mind. I feel naked if I surf without it... I do wish it could be a little bit thicker, but over all very happy!!!
