Pantai Jerman · Kuta

Kuta Swell & Wave Forecast
7-day point forecast for Pantai Jerman / Kuta — wave height, swell & swell period.
Today's Conditions — Breakdown
Pantai Jerman · Kuta
Heights below are lowered 0.2 m to match what the crew sees at the break — the tables were reading high. Sunday 2 Aug: dawn is thin, about 0.4–0.5 m early, so the reef sits shallow first thing. The tide fills through the morning to a high near 2.2 m around midday — the best cover of the day — then drains hard through the afternoon to just 0.1 m by 6 PM. Evening lows this week are very shallow over reef: surf the mid-morning-to-midday push, stay off the reef on the late-day drain, and protect your head.
Balian · Tabanan
The west-coast river mouth handles a lower tide better than the Kuta reef, but the same read applies — earlier is safer before the afternoon drain. West-coast clip to follow when the crew checks in.
Bali Surf Report — FAQ
What is the tide in Kuta today?
Check the Kuta tide chart above for today's Bali tide times and heights in metres, hour by hour from 5AM to 6PM. We update the daily read each morning from the Indonesian Tide Tables.
Where can I get a free Bali tide chart?
Right here — download our free Kuta / Bali tide chart for the week above. It's branded, printable and free to share, no signup needed.
What are the best surf spots in Bali?
Pantai Jerman and the Kuta reef are great for beginners to intermediates; Uluwatu, Padang Padang and the Bukit suit experienced surfers; Balian on the west coast is a quieter alternative. Always check the tide and swell first.
Is it safe to surf Bali's reefs?
Bali's reefs are shallow and sharp. Read the tide and swell before you paddle out, surf within your level, and protect your head — the Avebodi IMPHACT is the world's first surf impact hat, built for exactly these reefs.
How often is this Bali surf report updated?
Daily — filmed fresh each morning on the sand at Pantai Jerman, with the tide chart, 7-day swell & wave forecast and live cam all on this page.
When is the best time to surf in Bali?
The dry season, May to October, brings Bali's most consistent surf, and the biggest, most powerful swells typically arrive June through August — prime season for Uluwatu and Padang Padang. July and August are also Bali's windiest months, so surf early: mornings are cleanest before the trade winds pick up. Beginners often prefer the shoulder months (April–May and September–October) for smaller waves and thinner crowds.
